The mayor, Aurelio Joaquin Gonzalez formally requested for the construction of two berths for vessels to lift the head of the National Fund for Tourism Development (Fonatur), Rosa Adriana Pérez Quensler the purpose of port infrastructure and marine have a first world. In that sense, the mayor stressed that the construction of these two springs for the lift vessels, will have a Marine First World, where it is concluded that the million-dollar project currently underway on the island, through Fonatur which represent a major boost for tourism in all areas and therefore provide multiple benefits for the community.
For his part, Carlos Angulo Lopez said that the application is being done in a formal way to build Fonatur this important port infrastructure, is because the parastatal has only this type of technology that would put Cozumel at the forefront in this field.
Similarly, the holder of the APIM also stressed that these two docks for boats that would come from Puerto Aventuras and other parts of the state, plus it would be very useful to some event like a hurricane that might arise , since it would facilitate the securing of the local boats at reasonable prices.
In conclusion, Angulo Lopez added that this request be formalized by Aurelio Joaquin Gonzalez in his capacity as president Governing Council of the APIM, there is a significant step towards the goal of munícipe decisively to promote tourism, with the premise to join forces with the three levels of government.
