Castilla Herrera said that the signing of this agreement for coordination between state and municipal governments, proves the genuine political commitment from both agencies to carry out a special program aimed at strengthening municipal system of monitoring and evaluation of public management and cooperation on transparency and fighting corruption.

Separately, Cozumel Mayor said that this instrument, the State and the City Council endorse the actions to raise the quality of public administration, promoting the effective and efficient performance of public officials low ethical standards and adherence to legal principles to fulfill the responsibilities that citizens have placed in them.

Thus, renews and strengthens public participation, transparency and accountability by the guidelines governing the powers and duties of officials, becoming a guide in the different stages of governance, so accessible, consensual and closely linked to social needs.
